Learning to Disagree

One of the greatest frustrations of the last few years has been the lack of respectful dialogue. The example set on cable news and social media has contributed to a generation of students that lack a general understanding of disagreement. I have been reluctant to blog in the past because of a belief that there were others more qualified and because of the desire to avoid moderating contentious comments. It is my intent on this medium to address challenges in the fields of ministry, worship, and education in a way that encourages constructive dialogue. We are all better when we challenge preconceptions, learn to articulate convictions, and develop the skill of understanding differing viewpoints. I pray that this will be a place where all who read will consider motives and reasons for their methods, and that we all will grow from the interactions that will follow.
